Austin Kerr, de ex-bassist van Set It Off, heeft een IndieGoGo campagne gelanceerd waarmee hij geld mee wil ophalen om een rechtszaak te starten om zijn reputatie te redden.

Vlak voor het meest recente optreden van de band in Nederland, waren er veel geruchten over Kerr. De bassist zou tijdens de afgelopen tours verschillende (minderjarige) meisjes seksueel lastiggevallen en belaagd hebben. Daarop heeft de rest van de band besloten dat het beter was afscheid te nemen van hun bassist, aangezien zij de veiligheid van hun fans voorop stellen. Het optreden in Dynamo was het eerste zonder Kerr.

Het zette Austin’s leven op zijn kop, zo stelt hij in de video die hij opnam voor de IndieGoGo campagne. Daarbij zegt hij dat de beschuldigingen ongegrond zijn. Bekijk de video hieronder.

Then within 3 days, your life is demolished by false allegations and you’re alone and broke in a foreign country.

Help me to sue these woman for defamation. They put out false allegations, lied, edited, twisted the truth and led a charge of thousands of people who attacked, physically threatened me and caused the loss of my career.
