De iconische Amerikaanse metalband Slayer is onderdeel van een tentoonstelling in het Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum Of American History. De band is te zien in de video Slayer: The Origins Of Thrash, waarin zij hun geschiedenis en muziek bespreken. Het overkoepelende project heet Places Of Musical Innovation en verkent locaties die creativiteit en innovatie stimuleren.

De beschrijving van de video luidt: “What kind of place stimulates creative minds and sparks a surge of invention and innovation? As part of our Places of (Musical) Invention video series we traveled across the country to San Francisco, CA to talk with the thrash band Slayer about the the innovative history of thrash metal.”
