Meet: Lions Lions

Maak kennis met Lions Lions. Deze vijf heren uit Boston, Massachusetts gaan al bijna een decennium mee, en heeft in die tijd maar liefst drie albums en drie EP’s uitgebracht. De rock/post-hardcore band heeft ook al in het voorprogramma gestaan van bands als Our Last Night en A Loss For Words en de heren hebben zelfs een rondje Warped Tour al achter de rug. De ultieme PVRIS-fans zullen zanger Josh Herzer misschien herkennen vanwege zijn gastvocalen in het nummer “The Heartless”.

Omdat na al die jaren de heren van Lions Lions deze nazomer voor het allereerst naar Europa komen, vroegen we de frontman hoe hij tegen deze tijd aan kijkt.

“We’ve never left the continent of North America as a band. I can’t wait for the change of scenery, the food, and meeting new people. And I guess we’ll find out if anyones heard of us, haha. We’re honored to have the chance to play some tunes with you guys. Bring a friend, spread the word, and convince us to not fly home!”

In april brachten de heren het album Monument uit via eigen beheer, met de bovenstaande single “Between Us”. Over de toekomst van de band na de tour vertelt Josh:

“We have a couple album ideas knocking around, but we’re not in a hurry. Writing and releasing a full length album is a very exhausting undertaking. So now that it’s out, we can finally breathe again.”

Op woensdag 6 september staat de Amerikaanse band in Eindhoven, met support van de Britse band Hayworth en de Eindhovense band Riptide. Deze show zal plaatsvinden in de Blue Collar Theater bij het Klokgebouw. Check voor meer informatie het Facebook-evenement.
