Death Spells kondigt album aan

Death Spells, een van de projecten van voormalig My Chemical Romance gitarist Frank Iero, heeft hun debuutalbum aangekondigd. De plaat draagt de titel Nothing Above, Nothing Below en verschijnt op 29 juli via Vagrant Records.

Het album van Death Spells staat al vier jaar in de planning. Iero geeft toe dat het een opluchting is dat de plaat nu eindelijk verschijnt:

“This Death Spells record has been something I’ve wanted for 4 years. The initial band started back in 2012 in an apartment in North Hollywood California, and because life sometimes gets in the way it has taken a back seat to other projects James and I have been working on. But I knew I could not go any further until these songs were revealed, and now Death Spells’ time has finally come.”

De eerste single, “Why Is Love So Disasterous?”, verscheen drie jaar terug al in demo-vorm. De album versie ging afgelopen zondag (26 juni) in premiere op BBC Radio 1. Beluister de track hieronder.
