Nieuw album Gorillaz verschijnt in 2017

De release van het nieuwe Gorillaz-album heeft wat vertraging opgelopen. In tegenstelling tot eerdere berichten komt de nieuwe plaat niet dit jaar, maar pas in 2017. Dit meldt tekenaar Jamie Howlett via Gorillaz.NorthAmerica: “Jamie says new GORILLAZ is special, really fuckin special. Can’t be rushed. 2017, yo.”

We weten inmiddels dat o.a. Franse componist Jean Michel-Jarre en rapper Vic Mensa aan de opvolger van The Fall uit 2011 hebben meegewerkt. Verdere informatie blijft voorlopig nog even uit.
