Aftellen met The 1975

Op de officiële website van The 1975 is een countdown geplaatst. Waarvoor de band aftelt is onbekend, wel weten we nu dat de band op donderdag 8 oktober met nieuws gaat komen.

In juni haalde de band ook al een digitale stunt uit door al hun sociale media accounts stop te zetten, gepaard met de statement die deed vermoedden dat de band uit elkaar zou zijn:

“Our projected identity must change not only visually but philosophically – how do you do that? Firstly we must reclaim our identity & repossess our control of it… Until then there won’t be any pop music or dancing with long hair. The hardest part of any relationship is to say goodbye. As much as we might like things to stay the same, change is an inevitable part of life. We can’t simply go on forever – always staying the same, never evolving. So we must leave, with a parting ‘we love you’ – we are already gone.”

Het debuut van de jongens uit Manchester kwam uit in 2013.
