Tijdens een recent interview met het Engelse blad Kerrang! heeft Beartooth-frontman Caleb Shomo meer verteld over het album dat het debuut Disgusting zal opvolgen. De Amerikaanse metalcoreband werd opgericht in 2012, nadat Shomo Attack Attack! verliet. Beartooth tekende al snel een platencontract bij Red Bull Records en bracht in 2014 het eerste album uit.

Onlangs werd duidelijk dat de band aan nieuwe muziek werkt, zo deelde de zanger onlangs een teaser van een nieuw nummer op Instagram. Hoewel het album erg goed ontvangen werd, voelt de band geen heel grote druk om het te overtreffen.

“I’m really not worried about it,” vertelt hij. “I’ve got some new songs that I think are way better [than those on Disgusting]. But I’m not gonna try to make a new sound or anything, it’s gonna be a Beartooth record. I see so many bands that gain success on their first record, and then they’re like, ‘We gotta go bigger, so we need to completely change the sound of our band,’ which makes no sense to me at all. [The new record] is gonna be intense, and heavy, [with] lots of sing-alongs. Same shit as always.”
