Royal Blood deelt videoclip

Royal Blood heeft een nieuwe videoclip voor de track “Out of the Black” online gezet.

De clip is deels geanimeerd, deels geacteerd. Voor het resultaat is samengewerkt met Christy Karacas van Adult Swim en de illustrator David Wilson. Laatst genoemde werkte eerder ook als regisseur aan videoclips van Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire en Tame Impala.

In het persbericht bij de clip meldt Karacas:

“The staging of the action was really important to me as I wanted to create a dynamic space filled with fast paced kinetic energy and movement that matched that of the song. I animated much of the action ‘straight ahead’ and let the music dictate the movements and ideas in a stream of consciousness way as opposed to pre-planning everything from the start. The unrelenting rhythm of the bass and drums of this song had everything to do with the animation that seemed to just flow out of my fingertips.”

De nieuwe clip is niet het enige wat de heren op het internet hebben gezet. Er zijn namelijk ook vier B-kantjes op YouTube geplaatst. De Tracks “Hole”, “You Want Me”, “Love and Leave it Alone” en “One Trick Pony” komen allemaal respectievelijk als B-kant van een eerder uitgebrachte Single.
