Metallica’s Kirk Hammett maakt tweede boek

Kirk Hammett, gitarist van Metallica, heeft laten weten dat hij bezig is aan de opvolger van zijn eerste boek Too Much Horror Business. Dit boek werd in 2012 uitgebracht en bevat veel foto’s van Hammett’s liefde voor horrorfilms en -memorabilia. Voor het tweede boek heeft de gitarist echter een andere focus op het oog:

“It’s going to be more based upon the pop culture of the ’60s and ’70s with a lot of hot rod culture and surf culture as well as monster and horror culture. There’ll be a lot of TV stuff, too, but all within collecting — toy collecting, artwork, posters and whatnot.”

Het kan nog wel even duren voordat dit boek het daglicht zal zien, zei Hammett. “I said to myself that I have to give the next Metallica album priority. I’m going to wait until we’re two-thirds through the next Metallica album before I start to work on the book. And so maybe the book will come out in the end of 2015, beginning of 2016, if the planet hasn’t blown up by then [laughs].”
