Jonny Craig sluit hereniging met Emarosa niet uit

Jonny Craig, bekend van Dance Gavin Dance, sluit een hereniging met Emarosa niet uit. Hij was van 2007 tot 2011 zanger, maar op 11 april 2011 werd bekend gemaakt dat Craig de band uitgekickt was. “As of today, Jonny Craig is no longer a member of Emarosa. This decision has been a hard one to make, but we feel it is in the best interest for the band going forward.” 

Een tijdje terug is Craig weer gaan samenwerken met de band, zo hielp hij ze onder meer met een aantal nieuwe nummers. Hij vertelde  geen officieel lid te zijn van Emarosa, maar zei in een recent interview dat hij in de toekomst best wel terug zou kunnen gaan. Op dit moment focust hij zich echter liever op zijn solo-carrière en zichzelf als persoon. Check hieronder een fragment uit bovengenoemd interview.

You’ve got the new Emarosa demos, would you ever consider returning to the band or are you focused on continuing your career by producing solo material?

I wouldn’t rule out a return to Emarosa, but right now I want to focus on myself not only as a musician but also as a human being. I want to get myself back together. Emarosa are all doing their thing, and if they get a new singer then that’s cool but you never know, maybe one day! I know I personally wouldn’t mind it.

You currently don’t have a record label, what was the story behind you leaving Rise Records?

Rise didn’t want to let me do anything. This is a crucial part of my career and recovery; I need to be doing shit. They really wanted to stop my career, so we paid them the money and got the fuck out of the contract. We’re gonna release the EP ourselves and see what happens, if someone comes up to me and says they want me on their label then we’ll see but if it doesn’t happen, I’ll still be making music and doing what I want to do.
