I’ll Pick You Up stopt als band

I’ll Pick You Up heeft bekend gemaakt dat zij na deze zomer zullen stoppen met de band. Het vijftal speelde in voorprogramma’s van artiesten als Hot Chelle Rae en We The Kings en was headliner van de DutchScene Tour 2012. Wegens veranderde interesses en tijdgebrek hebben zij besloten de handdoek in de ring te gooien. Wij wensen de heren veel succes in de toekomst!

Op 30 mei zal de band een gratis optreden geven in Ekko, Utrecht. Een afscheidsshow staat ook op de planning, maar informatie hierover is nog niet bekend!

It is never easy to bring sad news, still we have to do what must be done.
With pain in our hearts we have to announce that I’ll Pick You Up will be no more after this summer.

We have been a part of this band for four amazing years and have grown into a big happy family.
The reasons why we made this decision is that after this summer Thijmen will need to focus too much on his new study, Sjoerd
will become busier with composing film music and Jasper is getting too busy with his solo project.
We want to thank every band we have ever played with, every venue we’ve ever played at and every person who has ever come to one of our shows or listened to our music.
We thank you all for the amazing moments and opportunities we have gotten in the last four years.

We still have a show planned on May 30th in Ekko (Utrecht), which is a free show.
We will still give a goodbye show some other time but as of right now, it is unsure when that will be.
However, the good news is that Rami and Cas will be a part of Jasper’s music project on stage and will play a few I’ll Pick You Up songs from time to time. So new music will still be coming out, just not under the name of I’ll Pick You Up.

Last but not least we want to give a special thanks to Kim Maasdijk, Ronald Mansveld, Jasper Mijwaard and William Groeneveld,
Although they have never shared the stage with us they were still a part of our band.
