Fall Out Boy doneert aan Boston

Gisteren hebben er in Boston, bij de finish van de marathon, twee explosies plaatsgevonden. Tot nu toe is bekend dat er zeker drie doden zijn gevallen, waaronder een achtjarige jongen. Daarnaast zijn er ook zo’n 130 gewonden gevallen. Veel mensen denken dat het hier gaat om een terroristische aanslag.

Om de slachtoffers van deze explosies tegemoet te komen, hebben de heren van Fall Out Boy besloten om alle opbrengsten van hun show in Boston deze herfst aan hen te doneren. Je kunt hieronder een statement lezen.

as you guys all know we’ve been beyond excited for today to come and normally this would be a day of celebration with the release of our new album. in light of the events in Boston yesterday we’d like to send our thoughts and prayers to the victims and everyone affected. we’ll be donating the proceeds from our upcoming boston show from the fall tour at Tsongas arena to the victims. hopefully these songs will make some people feel better today. We are Americans, this affects us all.
