Craig Owens afwezig tijdens Warped Tour
Gisteren heeft Craig Owens, de zanger van Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (D.R.U.G.S.), laten weten dat hij 3 dagen van de Warped Tour afwezig zal zijn. Dit komt omdat hij de ‘kans van zijn leven’ heeft gekregen, er is hem namelijk een filmrol aangeboden! Over deze film is nog niet veel bekend, wel is er bekend dat er zeer binnenkort al gefilmd gaat worden. Helaas vallen de filmopnames gelijk met 3 data van de Warped Tour, namelijk 17, 19 en 20 juli. De rest van de band zal dan wel aanwezig zijn voor signeersessies. Jammer dus voor de fans, maar gelukkig staat er wel iets tegenover; als zij hun ticket bewaren krijgen ze gratis merchandise of een gratis show op een andere datum. Hierover heeft Craig Owens een stuk geplaatst op zijn Tumblr, die kun je hieronder lezen.
“Hey everyone!
So I have some exciting, yet bittersweet news. I’ve been offered a once in a lifetime opportunity, and will be filming my first movie! It’s always been a dream of mine to be in the movies, and acting has always been a huge passion in my heart and in my life. When this entire thing came up, I knew that it was something that was meant to happen.
Unfortunately, this opportunity comes at the same time as a few of the Warped Tour dates coming up. So, with a heavy heart I have to say that the band will not be playing the shows on the 17th, 19th, & 20th of July. Warped Tour has been gracious enough to let me follow my dreams, and fulfill my obligations that I had previously made months prior. It has also been a life changing tour, that I respect, enjoy and am always honored to be a part of. The things that Warped Tour does for it’s bands, and organizations is overwhelming to say the least.
Now, with all of that being said, the rest of the band will still be attending these dates, doing signings, etc. I urge you to still come out to support the rest of the guys, and the entire tour itself. We will be making this up to all of you in the future, so PLEASE KEEP YOUR TICKET STUBS for a special show, meet and greets, merchandise offers, etc..
Wish me luck on my journey, and I will be back to rock Warped Tour on the 21st of July in Camden, NJ !!
