Muse frontman wil hennepkweker worden

Matt Bellamy, de frontman van Muse, wil een hennepkweker worden. Als je het aan hem vraagt ziet zijn pensioen er heel anders uit als de meeste rocksterren. Binnenkort gaat Matt verhuizen naar een boerderij in Devon en wilt daar papier en andere materialen van hennep gaan maken, daarnaast zal hij een aantal schapen houden.

“It’s just land with a couple of jaded barns that need to be renovated. It’s a nice place to camp but my long-term plan is to grow industrial hemp for making paper and material. When I stop touring I’m going to hang around there and start shearing sheep. As we speak, I’m letting the rams loose on the ewes. I got them mainly because I’ve got a farm which has a lot of steep hills, so the grass gets out of control unless you get grazing animals in there.“ aldus Matt.

Matt is zeker niet de enige in Muse die vind dat de band wel een break nodig heeft, zo liet bassist Christ Wolstenholme het volgende weten “it’s something we’ve never done. I think the most time we’ve had off is about six weeks in the last 12 years, so we’re due a break.”
